Description
Argungu is a popular town in Northern Nigeria and is well known for its yearly fishing festival. The Argungu fishing festival originated in August 1934 when the Sultan of Sokoto visited the town. To mark this special occasion, a grand fishing festival was held in his honour, and since then, it has become a yearly event which is now a global tourist attraction.
