One of the beautiful things about Lagos, Nigeria, is the organized chaos of the city. The fact that there is always something to make you shake your head in humorous wonder at every turn. From the coarse voice of the bus conductor shouting for passengers to the rowdiness of young boys playing football on the street to the woman hawking her wares along the road, Lagos is home to the bold and rugged. Lagos is one of the world’s megacities, with a population of over 15 million people. This painting captures the spirit of Lagos and the resilient tenacity of its people.
